Keeping with the tie theme, this is the last video in a series Esquire Magazine did with Patrick Grant of E. Tautz and photographer Chris Floyd, in which they travel all over Great Britain to visit historic manufacturing planets. This video in particular shows Drakes, an English company known for its high quality ties, all made by hand.
This series is worth your time to watch (only 8 episodes) because it gives a good look at how these products are made and why they are considered the gold standard in their respective fields. The series covers everything from Harris tweed, Corgi, Mackintosh; John Lobb, and even Jaguar. Fashion shows and catwalks don’t really get me excited, it’s seeing quality products being that can last a lifetime.
